  • Name of project:Adaptations to deal with climate change and salinization among agricultural communities in Ben Tre province
  • Project code:SED008
Project Description

This project aims to investigate how climate change and salinity intrusion would affect agriculture activities including horticulture, aquaculture and fisheries in the Ben Tre province in the Mekong:

  • How the farmers adapt/response to these issues?
  • What relevant policies would effectively support the local people to deal with the mentioned issues?

How salinity intrusion would affect fisheries among mangrove ecosystem?

This project will conduct field surveys for data collection including ecological and socio-economic aspects, salinity measurement and fish biodiversity. In addition, it will consult with local authorities to discuss possible changes in management strategies and policies for adaptation to the trend of salinization.
